** Sunday, Bloody, Sunday!

...that is one of my favorite u2 jams of all times!

anywho...this weekend was fairly low key for me which isn't a bad thing. came home friday and mowed, yes, i said "mowed" my lawn. now that i am no longer an amateur...it wasn't tricky. i am a buffoon, however, and burned the tip of my middle finger (ah, yes the irony)!! i was trying to determine whether it was still too hot to put the tarp over it and i knew that it was but felt the need to touch the motor anyway!! it was like i was 5 all over again and needed to stick my hand on the stove burner! same result...i heard my flesh singe briefly and then said to myself "ouch, hot"! i kill me...
yesterday was an awesome weather day again. 83 degrees in mid april! if that isn't global warming, well, i don't know what is. spent an hour and half washing and cleaning my car (looks like an 04' now instead of an 02'), did some laundry, took mick on 2 walks, read some, watched some tv, checked the top CNN stories (mostly POPE or Clinton/Obama related..no surprise there). i ended on a high note with some fabulous spinach & cheese calzone and chocolate cake (hot love as i like to call it).
today was another productive day. i took mick to the 13th annual "march for the animals" in druid hill park in baltimore. it benefits the SPCA of maryland. it was about 65 and cloudy but a good time was had by all! got there at 9:45, met up with some peeps who we will call S & J, her 2 miniature pinchers and her mom that was a dead ringer for PAULA DEEN! we started walking around 10ish and were done at 11:15. not 2 minutes later did it start thundering and began to pour! some people were just getting there too. people and dogs of all shapes, sizes and athletic abilities were practically running for their lives! kind of silly...especially the people with the tiny dogs (say, under 10 lbs) that were being CARRIED anyway at a DOG WALKING event! ridiculous, i tell you.
came home and had some lunch, chatted with close friend we will call "chi-girl" (from chicago) to wish her a happy thirty-deuce!! i then talked to kneecaps (he was in a triathlon in VA today-amazing cause' i am doubtful that i could do it) and then hit the gym for an hour and half.
i am now going to mindlessly search the internet super highway a while..then go relax.

peace in the middle east!
